Worldwide MACTE Accredited Montessori Teachers and Educators Programs
We offer Montessori teacher and educator Diploma courses, workshops, and refresher courses (see the Online Montessori Certification), as well as internships and teaching practice in collaboration with Montessori host schools. Please review the various options provided by the Institute and register promptly, as spaces are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Our groups are kept small, with 15 to 25 participants per group.
The Institute's Accreditation
The Canadian Montessori Teacher Education Institute is registered as a Career College under the Career Colleges Act, 2005.
The Institute has been granted full MACTE Accreditation for the Early Childhood and Elementary Diploma courses offered in the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Montreal (MACTE: Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education).
This institute is proud to offer MACTE accredited Montessori teacher graduates to both CCMA and non-CCMA member schools in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) since June 2002.
Graduates who hold a diploma from our accredited Early Childhood program, recognized by the MACTE Commission, are acknowledged by the Ontario Ministry of Education as qualified individuals to work with children aged 2½ to 6+ years in a Montessori setting. This recognition complies with the staffing requirements outlined in the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA). Additionally, the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA) recognizes teacher training institutes that meet the standards set by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) or the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE).

Our goal is to assist teacher candidates in acquiring the essential skills, knowledge, and practical experiences required to pursue a career as compassionate, competent, and qualified Montessori Infant and Toddler teacher-guides. Early Childhood Montessori Education Training Program
Our mission is to provide children with the highest quality educators who respect each child and support their individual needs. Teacher candidates will explore essential tools to foster children's growth and development while providing experience that encourages a lifelong love of discovery and learning.
Elementary Montessori Education Program
The goal of this Montessori Elementary Education course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of "The Secret of Childhood", help participants gain insight into the true nature of the child, model the use of various invaluable learning tools, and demonstrate how respect for the child's "inner teacher" serves as the foundational principle for effective elementary education.
Online Montessori Certification Assistant Workshop in Early Childhood
An online Montessori workshop consisting of 49 sections is offered worldwide. Designed to provide an overview of the Early Childhood Montessori curriculum, this workshop is open to anyone interested in the Montessori approach to education. It is particularly beneficial for assistant teachers currently working in a Montessori school, as well as for individuals aspiring to become Montessori assistant teachers.
