We offer Montessori teacher and educator Diploma courses, workshops and refresher courses (see the Online Montessori Certification), as well as internships and teaching practice in collaboration with Montessori host schools. Please review the different options offered by the Institute and do not delay in registering; first come, first served. Our groups remain small (15-25 per group).
The Institute's Accreditation
The Canadian Montessori Teacher Education Institute is registered as a Career College under the Career Colleges Act, 2005.
The Institute has been granted full MACTE Accreditation for the Early Childhood and Elementary Diploma courses offered within Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, Winnipeg Manitoba and Montreal (MACTE: Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education)
This Institute is pleased to provide MACTE Accredited Montessori teacher graduates to CCMA and non-CCMA member schools since June 2002 in the GTA.
Graduates who hold a diploma granted by our accredited Early Childhood program by the MACTE Commission, are recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education, as qualified individuals to work with children in a Montessori setting for children from 3 to 6 years of age in compliance with staffing requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA). Furthermore, the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA) “recognize teacher training institutes that meet the standards of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) or the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE)”

Our aim is to help teacher-candidates gain the necessary skills, knowledge and practical experiences needed to pursue a career as a caring, competent and qualified Montessori Infant and Toddler teacher-guide. Qualified Montessori Infant and Toddler Teacher-Guides locally and internationally are in high demand!
Early Childhood Montessori Education Training Program
Our mission is to provide children with the best possible educators who learn to respect the child and support each child's needs. Teacher-candidates will explore the necessary tools to foster the child's growth and development while providing "hands-on" experience that will encourage the child to develop a lifelong love and enthusiasm for discovery and learning.
Elementary Montessori Education Program
The goal of this Montessori Elementary Education course is to provide a thorough understanding of "The Secret of Childhood", help them gain insight into the true nature of the child, model the use of an array of invaluable learning tools and demonstrate how respect for the child's "inner teacher" serves as the integrating principle for effective elementary education.
Online Montessori Certification Assistant Workshop in Early Childhood
An online Montessori workshop of 49 sections offered worldwide. Designed to give an overview of the Early Childhood Montessori curriculum, this workshop is open to all interested in the Montessori approach to education, and is especially useful for assistant-teachers who are already working in a Montessori school. This workshop is also relevant for individuals who wish to become Montessori assistant-teachers.

I was amazed to learn so much was there to offer to a child from 5 different sections of this course. It was fabulous. it was a beautiful experience to know that a child could learn so much from these different areas of learning that arouses their interest and not letting them get bored or overwhelmed and discouraged even a bit.
